Upcycled Medical started in 2019 to stop plastic pollution by turning ocean waste into eco-friendly clothing. We help protect wildlife, reduce new plastic, and inspire others.
2. What does Upcycled Medical do? Can you explain the process?
We turn plastic waste into fabric for medical uniforms, gowns, and sheets. Partnering with SEAQUAL, we collect ocean plastic, recycle it, and prevent landfill waste.
3. What is the difference between what Upcycled Medical does and other recycled products?
Most NHS scrubs use plastic from Saudi Arabia, made in China, then shipped to the UK. We make recycled, recyclable scrubs in the UK, cutting waste, CO2, water, and energy.
4. What happens to the clothes at the end of their life? Can they be recycled again?
Every Upcycled Medical uniform is comfortable, durable, and reusable. When worn out, it is recycled into new clothing, reducing waste, landfill pollution, and plastic use.
